Home » Penile Lengthening
Penis can be lengthened by ligament release surgery along with V-Y advancement or multiple Z-plasty. About one-half of the penis is located inside the body. It is attached to the pubic bone by the suspensory ligament. Lengthening is achieved by a procedure that releases the suspensory ligament where it's attached to the pubic bone, thus allowing the penis to be advanced towards the outside of the body.
The incision made for this procedure is made in the pubic region where it is concealed by the pubic hair. No incision is made on the penis itself. Usually a patient can expect to gain of between 1 to 2 inches. This would depend on a number of factors. A larger penis will usualy result in a bigger gain than a smaller penis, since there is more tissue inside the body that can be advanced. The built of the patient is also important. In an obese patients, excessive fat located in the pubic region can conceal part of the penis and therefore the degree of length gained would appear less. In such cases it is beneficial to perform pubic liposuction or a pubic lift to expose more of the penis. Penile lengthening surgery can yield satisfying results when performed by a well trained surgeon in carefully selected patients.
